Delkin's New Dual Universal Battery Charger Wins Prestigious DIMA Award for Outstanding Design ...

Poway, CA. January 30, 2008 - Today Delkin's new Dual Universal Battery Charger was honored with the 2008 DIMA award for outstanding design and innovation. This unique charger for digital camera batteries combines universal compatibility among battery models with the ability to charge two batteries simultaneously. The need for a charger that can recharge two batteries of different models, voltages and even chemical composition at the same time has sprung up from the growth and development in the digi-cam market. "It is now common for households, or even individuals, to own multiple digital cameras," said Anna Lopez, Delkin's Battery Product Manager. "Many photographers own point and shoot cameras for day-to-day shooting, and a digital SLR for more serious photography. Different camera models seldom use the same battery, forcing photographers to carry an array of chargers." Delkin's Dual Universal Battery Charger is a single, two sided charger that uses individual charging plates specific to each camera battery, so it can charge almost any digital camera battery model.

Transcript from Goodell's news conference

"Good morning. Welcome to Arizona and Super Bowl XLII. I hope that all of you are enjoying the hospitality of this wonderful community. Before I take your questions - and I assume you have some questions - I'd like to make a few comments. First, thank you to all of you for your extraordinary interest and coverage of the NFL this season. We appreciate it. If numbers are any indication, by the number of credentials we have issued this week, it certainly is one of the games that has the most interest in our history. So, thank you for being here and thank you for your coverage over the season.

"Also, let me thank the two teams - the New England Patriots and New York Giants. I congratulate them on a tremendous season. They have played terrific football and they have gotten here in two different ways, but nonetheless, both with records.

Mother Earth Mother Board

The financial districts of New York, London, and Tokyo, linked by thousands of wires, are much closer to each other than, say, the Bronx is to Manhattan.

Today this is all quite familiar, but in the 19th century, when the first feeble bits struggled down the first undersea cable joining the Old World to the New, it must have made people's hair stand up on end in more than just the purely electrical sense - it must have seemed supernatural. Perhaps this sort of feeling explains why when Samuel Morse stretched a wire between Washington and Baltimore in 1844, the first message he sent with his code was "What hath God wrought!" - almost as if he needed to reassure himself and others that God, and not the Devil, was behind it.

During the decades after Morse's "What hath God wrought!" a plethora of different codes, signalling techniques, and sending and receiving machines were patented.

Power pole knocked down after crash

A crash at Old St. Augustine Road and Pine View Drive knocked out a power pole, but no one was seriously injured.

The intersection was blocked off for several hours after the 3 a.m. crash so the power pole could be repaired, but it is now open, said Lt. Ken Bergstrom, of the Tallahassee Police Department.
